My name is Mark Earley and I am one of the Ranelagh Open team players heading to the World Ultimate Club Championships in Lecco, Italy this August. We are representing Ireland in the Open/Men's Division, a division dominated by North American, Japanese and Australian teams. We are seeded 41st out of the 48 teams, testament to both the high standard of teams we will battle against and to how little impact previous club teams have had on the Open Division at this tournament.
The purpose of this short-term blog is twofold:
1 - to keep those following our team from home updated
2 - to reflect on my own experiences and (ideally) to learn from them
I've no idea what the WiFi situation will be like in our hotel but will do my best to post each evening with some photos, game reports and stories. The team will try to post on the Facebook page and on our Twitter account too.
